AskPrice collects the minimum information necessary to provide the quote request service: customer name, email address, phone number (optional), selected products, requested quantities, and any additional notes provided through the quote form.
The collected information is used exclusively to: generate and manage quote requests, send email notifications related to quotes, and generate reports for the store administrator.
Data is stored on secure servers (PostgreSQL on Neon with encryption in transit via TLS/SSL). Data is retained while the app is installed. Upon app uninstallation, session data is automatically deleted.
We do not sell, rent, or share personal information with third parties. Notification emails are sent through the SMTP server configured by the store administrator.
AskPrice complies with GDPR. Customers can request access, rectification, or deletion of their personal data through the store administrator. The app automatically responds to Shopify's customer data requests and redaction compliance webhooks.
AskPrice does not use its own cookies on the merchant's storefront. We do not track end users or use tracking pixels.
We implement security measures including: HMAC verification on proxy endpoints, rate limiting, TLS/SSL encrypted database connections, and Shopify webhook signature validation.
